NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson joins Agistix Advisory Board

Successful On-Demand Software Executive Brings Strategic Vision to Agistix

Zach Nelson has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hi-tech industry, where he has held a variety of executive positions spanning marketing, sales, product development and business strategy with leading companies such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and McAfee/Network Associates. Since 2002, he has been president and chief executive officer of NetSuite, a leading provider of on-demand business software suites that enable companies to manage key business operations including Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and e-commerce in a single business application.

Recently named as CRM Influential Leader of 2006 by CRM Magazine, Nelson has led NetSuite to be one of the hottest software companies in the world. Most recently, NetSuite was ranked as the fastest growing software company in North America in a study by Deloitte. Under Nelson’s leadership, NetSuite’s revenues have grown ten-fold, workforce has quintupled to more than 500 employees, and its customer base has expanded to thousands of companies around the globe.

Prior to NetSuite, Nelson led McAfee Associates’ expansion into the network management arena with the $1.4 billion acquisition of Network General. During his tenure there, he helped launch Mcafee.com, the first profitable and publicly traded Software as a Service (SaaS) company. He also became CEO of the company’s myCIO.com subsidiary, where he created the world's first business-to-business security SaaS provider. Prior to McAfee, Nelson was vice president, World Wide Marketing at Oracle, where he led global marketing strategy and implementation. Early in his career, he held marketing executive positions at Sun Microsystems, and was the driving force behind the marketing and branding of the first version of the Solaris operating system, while also spearheading the product and corporate marketing effort at the company's SunSoft division.
Mr. Nelson holds a patent in the field of application integration, and has several others pending approval. He holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University.
